About Forty North

A small workshop set up
for flexible production.

Founded in 2021, we work with independent brands that need lower minimums and closer production support. Orders are handled in English, with clear pricing, sample timelines and production updates.

Production coordination
We manage yarn sourcing, knitting, linking, washing, finishing and packing, using specialist partners where needed.
Flexible order quantities
Lower minimums by style, with multiple colours available subject to yarn and production requirements.
Export support
Commercial invoices, packing lists and other standard export documents, with testing and shipping arranged on request.

Dehaired Inner Mongolian cashmere fibre and OEKO-TEX® yarns in a range of counts.

Knitting

Computerised flat knitting across multiple gauges, including intarsia, jacquard, cable and fully fashioned construction.

Dyeing

Pantone colour matching and lab dips, with yarn and piece dyeing available for custom colours.

Linking & finishing

Hand linking, washing, pressing and anti-pilling finishing.

Private label

Woven labels, printed care labels, hang tags, polybags and custom packaging.

Quality control & testing

Measurement checks, fibre-content testing, AQL inspection and third-party lab reports on request.

Documentation & testing

Support for export orders.

Standard export paperwork is provided with each order. Product and fibre testing can be arranged when required.
